Little Ringed Plover 1 at 7.35am picked up on call flying towards us over the coastguards cottages at Birling whereupon it flew low over the car park and out of view down over the cliff edge - only the twelfth seen at Beachy being the first since 1986 and equalling the previous earliest recorded date.
