The Hawfinch made an early morning appearance in our garden but was then absent for the rest of the day. Our flock of Chaffinches had increased in number to 6. A walk around Norwick in the biting easterly wind resulted in flushing a Woodcock and seeing 5 Wood Pigeons, 3 Song Thrushes, 10 Redwings, 15 Fieldfares and 25 Blackbirds. A tour around the Baltasound sites added a female Shoveler and 4 Snow Buntings along the road to Ordaal. As we drove back past Saxa Vord a Hawfinch was seen leaving a back garden and flying towards Norwick.
